Kenya Nairobi Sarova Panafric

Did presentation on Basic Requirement in performing cleft surgery in Second Panafrican conference in Anesthesia for cleft surgery. It was good.

Nairobi had cold weather in our arrival there. My self and Dr. Shankar Man Rai went there, Dr. Rai also presented there in conference. Stayed in Hotel Silver Spring in Nairobi from 25 th July to 29th July 2010. Conference was from 26th to 28th July 2010. Back to Nepal on 29th July at 2pm Kenyan time by Qatar Airways. Stayed in transit for 6 hours in Doha airport. Wanted buy some alcohol bottles in duty free but there were too many crowd in counter, I had little time so for Doha airport and by the time when I went for shopping in Duty free shop it was already late and had to go for boarding. Flight to Doha from Nairobi was around 5 hours and all the passengers were to have transit in Doha. Again from Doha to Kathmandu, flight was around 4 hours and 45 minutes. Arrived in Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu at 8:30 am local time.

Trip to Kenya

Came to airport at 9pm 24 July 2010, flight was at 11:30 pm, carrier was Qatar airways airbus A320. Reached Doha by 5 hours, spend 6 hours in transit in Doha airport. Qatar Duty Free was quite interesting to see it though it was quite small. Again by QR we came to Nairobi, Kenya by 4 hours. Smile train had arranged a car for us to pick from airport. Nairobi is quite a wide place. We are staying in Hotel Silver Springs, Nairobi. I am in room 1950 while Dr. Rai is in 1927.

Janakpur ISOP Camp 2010

June 6th 2010 Sunday, went to Janakpur for cleft lip camp with Dr. Kiran and the team.Flight was on 9:30am on Yeti air. Stayed in Hotel Rama, visited Janakpur's Janaki Temple. We did total 6 case of lip repair and came back to Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30pm..

Pokhara CME of SAN 2010

May 21st 2010 Friday, I went to Pokhara for monthly clinical meeting of SAN. I and Sabin went by flight of Buddha air while others by other means of transport. Flight was of 11:50 am and till 10:00 am I was in Kirtipur hospital, done 2 cases of cleft lip repair under GA, dropped Dr. Kiran till Jawalakhel on Bike then came home and had lunch, by the time Sabin had already come to pick me up in his brothers Tucson. Flight to Pokhara was on ATR, and was in time.

Reached Pokhara on time i.e 25 mins.

Stayed in Hotel Barahi Pokhara.

Went to Manipal with Deepak in his car, had lunch with him, met with Prof. Babha, who showed us the OT of Manipal Teaching hospital. After that we went to Lake side, had couple glasses of beer and went to the party at hotel>>>>>?? I forgot the name of it, had cocktail dinner there and again had couple of drinks in some bar and in hotel Barahi till 2:00am. We met with dr. Deer and Thaneshwor there in Pokhara. Next morning woke up at 9:00am only, by the time we had our breakfast and reached Manipal for the CME it was already 10:30 am. Deepak Tibrewal had provided us car for the pick up from the hotel. After CME we had lunch in lake side and catch the flight back to KTM at 2:30 pm. In airport ( Pokhara) we saw MAHA jodi and Rajesh Hamal. Back in KTM, Sabin's car was waiting for us to drop in home.

Biratnagar ISOP camp 2010

Recently been to Biratnagar. Went on 11th march 2010, Thursday and came back on 13th march 2010, Saturday. On same day of arrival in Biratnagar we did 5 cases (2-10pm) and next day 16hrs- we did 11 cases of cleft lip and palate. On saturday morning did 2 cases and came back to Kathmandu.

we flew on Yeti air to n fro.

We did the cases on Morang Sahakari Hospital, Traffic chowk. Surgeon was Dr. Pawan.
